Very nice pic.
We were there a couple years back. A very emotional place to be for Americans. Overlooking the USS Arizona where WWII started for the USA and then standing on the decks of the warship where the war ended with the Japanese surrender. So much history.

I found it really moving. Also, to see these machines of great power, smell the oil and grease, and see the living conditions on board. Was really intimidating I must say.

While I was in the Navy(80's) my ship conducted gunnery exercises with another Iowa Class BB(USS New Jersey). To see that ship touch out all 9 16"ers broadside at the same time was amazing! Talk about intimidating. And to see what those 3000lb shells do when they hit the island Vieques we were shooting at was just an awesome sight to behold.
Very fitting that the unconditional surrender document was signed on board "Big Mo". To have thousands and thousands of US Mil aircraft fly over the proceedings in Tokyo Bay drove the point home. Admiral Yamamoto was proven right about the USA.

Back in 1998 while on RIM PAC, I painted the Mighty Mo to earn a weeks worth of leave in Hawaii! It was 6hrs well spent!

You sunk my battleship! You just need a white sailor hat and you'd look period correct.
