Why is it that we never get tired...

of looking at pics of basically the same exact watches over and over. I don't care if I've seen a sub date 3000 times or a datejust 3001, I seem to never get tired of looking at them- well maybe JJ's bluesy, but that's another matter altogether! I guess that says something about the magic power of the big "R"?

Because we are freakin screwed up in the head. It is a illness.

That is why I went to the JLC Master Class, was therapy and treatment for me. Why I scatter Glashutte Catalogs and photos all around my room and bed. And why every morning, after brushing my teeth and spitting on my Rolex, I recite the words "Vacheron Constantin" 100 times.

It is all because of the non-AR coated crystals that Rolex has. Those little mirrors on our wrist act as hypnotic devices!

Chad, we apparently share the same illness! Thanks for clearing some things up in my head. I thought I was the only one who scattered watch catalogs around. Can't say that I spit on my watch, though.

That is why I am on vacation, and instead of chasing pretty Khmer girls around town, I am enjoying myself more sitting in the Hotel reading about watches!! And why half of my vacation centered around attending a Watch Exhibition in KL, Malaysia!

Glad to know I am not the only one infected...as a matter of fact my wife asked last night if she could do anything to cure me from what she calls "Tic-Toc Syndrome"

I told her a nice WG Daytona with a meteorite dial and brown strap would alleviate the symptoms for a few weeks, at least until after Christmas. Speaking of which, Merry Christmas everyone.

I just enjoy looking at the pictures...they are beautiful watches.

Yeah...this is post 100. I'll catch JJ yet.

I can NEVER get tired of looking at Rollies....all day long. When I'm really bored, I pull out some of my old and new Rolex catalogues and browse through them. Helps kill some time!!

Measuring time (relatively) accurately via mechanical watches is one of the great, most impacting, inventions of all time. Just about all science and transportation (and other key aspects of our lives) rely directly or indirectly on the measurement of time. Now that chips have taken the place of mechanical technology, we, the truly insightful and understanding few at the Rolex forum, are merely honoring a huge milestone in the achievements in the evolution of mankind. We gentleman, are honoring all mankind by our obsession with the peak years of mechanical watch production. Either that or we are merely consumers who don't know how to change.

Well, I must admit that some of my catalogs have cleavage as well. Now if I can find a catalog that has both- I'd never leave home!

Well, what I say to myself to justify: Could instead be spending the money on vices such as booze, gambling, drugs, or hookers instead of Rolex/Watches. So I think having a "Watch" vice is better than the others!
