Incoming Ceramic Planet Ocean 8500

Hi all,

I haven't been on in a while, however I did want to share about my new purchase Omega.

This is my first Omega. Their watches are very beautiful. Currently I own a DJ2 TT-SLTE, GMT2 C, DeepSeaC, Sub LvC, and now my fist Omega. I was bent on whether I wanted the Orange or black. I chose black. The orange was a little too much for my taste, but is very beautiful. I figured I'd go black since it is my first Omega.

I also love the clear caseback as well.

Thanks. I am enjoying it greatly. Couldn't be happier! In fact I can't even think about putting one of my Rolexes on.

Have just aquired same Omega as you and have a hard time chosing which watch to wear. Decided to wear the Omega on weekdays and my GMT 2 C on weekends.
The 45 mm watch is so comfortable with the rubber strap. Less likely to scratch the band at the gym as well

Very nice! I also like the 45mm liquid metal blue on blue as well. All were very nice. I really don't have a system though on how I wear my watches and when.

I guess I wear one till I get tired of it. The problem is, I don't usually go back to wearing a certain watch. I just end up buying a new one. Which is bad news for my wallet. I will say I have the Omega fever now, which has symptoms of chronically buying more Omegas...... Help meeee!!! Lol

I also have a movement pic. Sorry for the crappy photo, but I couldn't get a good angle w/out taking and screwing and unpinning one of the links. So here you go.

Great choice Mr.Prez, I have the same combo in 42mm and I haven't worn a different watch since I got it in December. It is a beautiful, solid timepiece. Enjoy it in good health.

Someone here thought this was a 45mm, it's actually the 42mm. I have a smaller wrist, sorry for any misconfusion.

That would be me. In that case we got the exact same model. And we both have great taste in watches. Lol.

Are you planning on getting the matching rubber strap with orange stitching? I was going to get that at first but the bracelet version made more sense price-wise.

Actually , I haven't given it much thought. I actually almost got the blue liquid metal version with blue rubber strap. However they only had it in 45mm. But decided that for my first one I should get something a little more plain that will go with everything.

Now that you bring it up though, I may just have to get one. I've seen a few youtube videos with the 8500 cal on rubber and the rubber looks great.

Glad to hear your liking yours as well!

Jms w, I purchased the OEM black with orange stitching strap a couple months after I got the PO. It is a high quality strap that actually looks like a smooth leather. Very versatile and very comfortable. After the shock of the price for the strap and deployant buckle wore off I couldn't be happier with it.

That's what I thought the blue one was. I thought it had leather, but it was actually rubber. Those rubber bands are quite nice though, so I'll have to look into getting one.
