PO scratches
Hey guys, I was looking over my PO 45.5mm (cal 2500) an notices a few nics and micro scratches on the face and the bracelet, specially where on the clasp where all the lettering is, can these be polished or buffed out and so, can you recommend any places that a do it, preferable in the Southern California area, thanks

Let it scratch up until you need service. If you wear your watch, it'll get nicked and scratched.....no biggie. I wear my PO 2500 everyday..........I just don't worry about it.......just enjoy it.

I'm just as careful as can be with my watch, no hands resting on tables, etc, but if it scratches....oh well, enjoy it. The first scratch is the "deepest" after a while they sort of disappear and you won't even notice them. I say leave it be. For the record a well worn in green scotch pad will make it look new again. |

Thanks guys, I am of the same school of though as you with regards to scratches, it's part of the deal when wearing a watch, however I recently got the bug to trade up to a PO cal. 8500 and I am looking to trade my current PO and I feel that the scratches will take away value or bargaining power, specially if a go to a dealer.

I agree, it gives that watch more provenance with scratches, as opposed to a old watch with a bad polish job.
Just went today to Royal Maui and the offered my $1500 :(, and no discount |

For sure if you are considering a trade, a polish would definitely help
