I've noticed something different on the new Rolex bracelets

I've recently bought a Rolex Sub C, and I have noticed on the clasp that they have changed the spring mechanism (the part which closes the watch). It used to be stiff with no movement like on my other Rolex's (not the old clasps) and now it seems to have a spring movement.

I have looked around at other Rolex Sports watches with the same clasps and some seem to to have a spring and some don't. Not sure if it is something that only the new stock Rolex's have.

Has anyone else noticed this?

The photo below points out the bit that now has movement, the two sides are stiff with no movement and the middle bit has some play on it.[/SIZE]

By "spring clasp" do you mean "hinged clasp"?

The end of the clasp that releases it from the bracelet is spring loaded on the new style bracelets.

It's possible that's it's just on the Glidock. Have you tried pushing down a bit on the end piece to check

for me, the spring is more noticeable when i push the end of the clasp up, as opposed to down.
