Deal from AD on Sub Serti, what do you think?
Helping a friend pick out a watch, he has started to be drawn to the sub serti. The one he has been looking at is a D serial from an AD and have talked him down to 10% off and no tax, which is 6% here, so he will ship out of state.
MSRP is like $9975.00 Somewhere in there. So what do you think? I think if he walks in there with $8400.00 Cash and sets it on the counter he is going to own the watch. Thanks! |

I would not accept 10 % only on that specific watch. I would expect 15 %+ on it, especially if I pay cash.

I wouldn't pay over $8K. I would offer $7,500.

The trusted Powersellers on Ebay USA are offering the watch at $8000-8200 so $8400 or a bit less is quite reasonable.
Your friend should expect it to be worth $1000-1500 less as soon as he owns it. This should not matter if it is his grail watch. A few of my watches were worth a lot less than $1500 once I made them pre-owned, including two of my current collection. Does not make me regret purchasing them for a moment, though.
