A beautiful TRF lady sent me a gift !!

Hi All !!

I did not want to embarass the lady in question - but I thought it a shame to not to ackowledge such a kind gesture made from one of the TRF members in the States to me here in the U.K.

For the other female members here a clue to what I received from Lisa, this morning in the post: (Just to get you drooling !!)

I'd never heard of Godiva here in the U.K - so Lisa kindly offered to post me a bar here to the U.K for me to try.
What a Star I cannot say Thank You enough !!!

I'm saving it for tonight - when the boys & Donna get home.. so will post a verdict then......

Oh my goodness.... You are spoiled!

Lisa! It would have been cheaper to send them to me!
Don't spoil those men so much!

Mireyna, I am so sorry, but I just had to send it to a man. You know, given my personal history with Godiva and all.....

Taken straight in from school - hence the tired eyes...
They are 3 really good lads - and I feel fortunate to be able to work from home and spend as much time with them as I can.

Lisa, I think the Godiva circle is complete now! There's enough good karma in that gesture to overcome all the other junk that put the good Godiva name to shame!

Stuart, those are some happy boys. Who says chocolate is just for the ladies!!

A padded envelope. And I put the bars in the original Godiva sack, folded the sack over and slipped it in the envelope. Also figured we had cold weather on our side.

Stu, was it melted or smashed any?

Nothing major - the big bar was cracked, but that was to be expected really, given the journey - no melting or anything though. all foil and papers where intact.

Stuart,

You should send Lisa some Uncle Joe's Mint Balls or some mushy peas.

I'm really surprised that in a large economy like the Uk, as said earlier in this thread, Godiva is not available in the UK. By the way Godiva mints are the ultimate.

Its really nice - even the strong 85% Dark Cocoa, is twice as nice and not as bitter as Cadbury's etc.. that we get over here.
I'll be checking those sites out......
