It's not overly big and it's all ceramic and very light. It would be hard for me to shell out the $12,000 they want for it though, plus tax.

I like the look but not the size and the price. It is a pretty machine though

I have 7" wrist:

I don't think it's big even though it's a 44mm.

I didn't realize it was that large. It wears very small.

Nice piece Art. Im thinking the price is a bit of a catch though. To me (my opinion), doesn't look like a $12K watch.

So…you going to the dark side?

I did and no regrets. It's a great piece

Looks like a great watch. You are the only one I know of on this forum that has one. Congrats on being the first.

I am an Omega fan and owner, but I have an issue with it being 12K. I think I will wait until my AD gets it and hopefully get a discount. I have this issues with buying any watch over 10k for some reason.

Not even close for me at that price. Although some day I wouldn't mind having the original version.

I tried one on last night at a boutique Company store. The sales guy started by stating "oh, these aren't supposed to be in the States yet, ha ha...." The watch itself is beautiful and seems very light in weight. The band is flimsy IMO and with a ceramic clasp I am wondering how sturdy it will be over the long haul. I don't get the $12k price. Seems high to me and based solely on "planned" exclusivity.

The strap is cordura. Cordura and other "ballistic nylon" made to cordura specs are used in a lot of 'tactical' gear such as rucksacks, patrol packs, sniper drag bags, etc, so I'm going to guess that it will last a lot longer than leather or a basic nylon NATO strap.

I've got a shooting mat made out of cordura, that I bought back in 2003 that I still use. That thing has been in all sorts of dirt, mud, gravel, and on hot asphalt without a tear or rip, yet.

I agree with the poster you quoted. Although it maybe ballistic grade it is vastly inferior to IWC's Topgun Kevlar strap.

I'd like it even more if it had 3 chrono registers and came in a smaller case.

I'm a huge Omega fan, and it's a great watch. ...BUT, $12k damn near buys a modern 3570.50, and a vintage transitional Speedy, AND a 35th anniv. Apollo 11 Panda.

I'd rather have those three classic models any day of the week! My

Agree price is an issue here
More and more marketing spending, we pay add and not the watch
