Where next?

This is my collection so far:

I want one more (I think I always say that!).

I tried on a few patek models yesterday and I've ruled out the 5196g, just too slim and not versatile enough for me. I loved the 5396g but I would only get that if I traded in one of my current Pateks and I don't want to do that.

I think I've got it down to the 5296g or 5711. As much as I used to like the sector dial 5296 I'm not as keen as I was so I think it will be the original dial. I had always ruled out the 5711 as I have the 5167 and I don't want something so similar however I do like the fact that it can be dressed up or down.
Thoughts and opinions please.

I vote 5296G because I prefer a dresswatch over a 'sports' watch, can't go wrong with either though.

Bas, maybe one day we will make you change your mind, go sporty

To the OP, the 5167 and 5711 IMO are 2 different beasts, I have a 5712 and am thinking of adding a 5167, have you thought of a 5712? If you like the asymmetrical dial you will love this watch, for me it is incredible

5711 since you do not have a Nautilus. It is totally different from the Aquanaut.

That's the thing I really thought that I'd be going for the 5296 or 5196, something a bit dressier but it looks as though the 5711 will do this too. Is the nautilus and aquanaut different enough to have both?

Perpetual calendar would be nice but not on my budget.

The price range might be a bit much between the 2, don't you think?

Given that I have both Pateks that you have and also a 16710 I'd suggest looking at the new 5960/1A, that is my next piece.

Very nice but not keen on dress chronographs.

I'm considering it a sporty chrono, also note the added complications and bracelet.

Absolutely. Totally different watches although in my case I have a 5712G and a 5164. I love having both in my collection.

It is very nice but I'm not too keen on high end chronographs.

How about 5980? Sporty Chrono, if that's what you want. otherwise, 5711, blue dial!

I'd suggest a rose gold piece to add to the collection. Maybe a 5980R

A RG AP or Lange would be a nice addition.

I am leaning towards the 5711.

Any others who have the aquanaut and the nautilus? Is it too much? Do they both get wrist time or do you favour one over the other?

I have both. Aquanaut is my hot, summer day watch. Vacations and jeans. The nautilus is the work and cold weather watch. I just feel the aquanaut is more robust and beater. Whereas the nautilus is more dainty and special.

IMO the edge goes to the 5167. More versatile and very comfortable year round. The both share the same movement but you don't have to worry about gouging the steel strap.
