Real or fake sub? Value?

Is this sub real or fake? If legit, what's the approximate value?

It is supposedly a 1968, 1680 sub, caliber 1570, Automatic, diameter 40 mm, serial no 6150679.

Looks legit to me, but I'm not a vintage pro so... as for value, depends on many things, if it has full paperwork and history certainly more than if not. If I had to put a number on it I'd say $7k ish.

I think that serial number would put it more in the 1979-1980 range, no?

Hey, thx. According to serial no lists on the web, you seem to be right about this. So what do we got our selves here, a watch made up of Rolex-pieces from different watches from different time periods? In which case: Nice...

Those don't appear to all be pics of the same watch. The pic with the watch on its side is not the same as the others. Hour plots are dirtier and the date wheel looks different.

I think you are right; look at how much fatter the "5" is on the bezel in the bottom picture than the top one, and the bottom photo is in sharper focus...

Yeah, this (the below) picture seems to be of another watch. For one, the markers are red (for some reason), and the small sticks on the bezel seem thinner.

Albeit, this picture is not necesarily of a fake Rolex (maybe?), but it certainly looks as a picture of another piece than the rest of the pics. Any views on this?

I'm not sure what you're trying to determine. The watch on the blue nato has issues and I'd be suspect of its authenticity. The watch in the last pic doesn't appear to be the same watch either. If someone provided these all to you and presented it as all the same watch, I'd run away quickly.

Run away, you may be right. However, THREE watches? Look at the plastic on the top and bottom pictures. The edge seems scrached/chipped approximately from 10.30 to 12 o clock. Doesn't that at least suggest that these two pictures are of the same watch?

I think that's just a reflection.

It's three watches because of the one with the red hands..

Yep, different....
The first 2 in my line up are the same watch...you can even make out the reflection of the same camera taking the picture...the 3rd is a random watch.

FYI. when I analyze the shots in Photoshop, it is clear they have been retouched...

Whoever is representing this watch(s) is not to be trusted! Clear deception at work here if they are claiming it's the same watch.

It is three different watches; maybe more when you consider the caseback/movement pic. The only one that looks legit is the last pic.

flagadad's lineup seems to suggest that there are two watches here. What differs the watch on the first pic comparing with the last pic?

Look at the red arrow, compare the thickness of the lines. Look at the pearl's position and size.

Date font, position of date in the window, level of patina...there's plenty there to be suspect of.

I'm convinced #1 & 2 are the same watch but pics taken at different times... I highlighted what I pick up on Photoshop....Blue is consistent, Red is not....could be dust, or could be damage over time....

what ever is it, where damage appears, I see evident picture blurring from post processing....

The fact that you have to ask + I have to play on photoshop to figure this out = RUN
