9315 Clasp Date Code Question
Would a 9315 originally come with a clasp date code of VD? That seems a little late, right?

Is it a solid or folded link?

The best way to determine if it is correct would be to place some photos of the clasp here. There are distinct differences between the 9315 and 93150 clasps and the bracelets. Include photos of the top side with the thumbnail recess and the inner clasp with the stampings. I've seen many 9315 bracelets with replacement 93150 clasps. The 93150 was first issued around 1975, so a 1979 (VD) clasp code would more than likely have been on a 93150 bracelet. I know the 9315 bracelets were fit to the Tudors all the way into the 1980s, but not on the Rolex Submariners.

9315 Clasp Date Code Question
Quote:
The first pic, showing the thumb recess area (as springer mentioned), is shoddy, but it looks to me like it does in fact have a thumb recess, which would make it a 93150 clasp/blades with 9315 links. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I agree. Definitely not a 9315 clasp.

and no divers extension....which is a hell of a coincidence as my 5513 came with a 9315 - 93150 clasp and no divers extension!
Sold by a bunch of shysters - redeemed by the head which is fantastic - Am just about to sell the band on ebay and will be highlighting the shortcomings!! |
