Stopped in the local AD today

At Richter&Phillips in Cincinnati...tried on a new GMT and met a great staff. Before I left they gave me a new Hard cover Rolex Catalogue. I think I might end up with a new GMT before all is said and done.

I stopped in there a few weeks ago to discuss the smaller Cyclopes mag i have on my BLNR and if Rolex had an resolution. I Went on to point out some of the watches with lower mags in the showcase. The salesman acted (poorly)as if it was the first time he's ever heard of such a thing. After I watched him speak by phone to their watch expert about the situation, he came back to me to report that here is nothing wrong with the cyclops and Rolex has made no changes. REALLY! It took a 5 min phone call to find that out. It's like he wanted me out of there as fast as he could and looked blankly at me when I again questioned the difference of the watches in the show case.
It was like talking to Sgt. Shultz form Hogans Heros.

Glad your experience was better than mine.

I chalk it up to poor leadership on the part of Rolex. They have not educated the AD's on handling the cyclops issue. So I'm inclined to be forgiving of AD's that don't "get it".
To OP: Sounds like this AD gets it on the sales front. I say enjoy that pampered AD purchase of your new GMT and just make sure you get a good cyclops 😉
