New dial Tudor Pelagos?

With the recent welcome change of not including the 'wall of text' on new Black Bay's; will the horrible balanced Pelagos will get a new dial as well? Lot of them had mentioned this as a concern during its release and I'l hoping the dial text is corrected and made eye pleasing! Whats your thoughts?

The reason I mention is the grey market price has plummeted on the in-house Pelagos all over. For instance, checkout the latest price from Jomashop http://www.jomadeals.com/luxury

i actually am close to pulling the trigger on the blue. i dont care that much about the 5 lines. ill take it for the better movement and higher power reserve.

The " too much text" issue is a watch forum phenomenon; no one else cares IMO. The vast vast majority of the buying public wouldn't even notice.

While I don't mind the text, they could ditch the "Rotor Self-winding". Its a Swiss chronometer, everyone knows its not a quartz.

Exactly.. that's what they did with Black Bay update. Ditched that 'Rotor Self-Winding' text after the complaints of Pelagos.

Could be manual winding..
Same could be said for any of the text...could be on the caseback, but I rather like it in this model

I agree. The "Rotor Self-winding" just confuses me. Why did they feel the need to put it on the dial?

Interesting you would call it horribly unbalanced. I don't own one, but really think it is great looking. There is more writing on a DSSD, which I like as well.
To be honest, I find the amount of space taken up in the top half of the dial and the bottom to be fairly well balanced...

I think it's a great layout, and I find the blue dial to be the nicest of the two....

The new dial looks great IMO

It's a great looking watch with accurate in-house movement.

Thought I wanted one, so I went to try one on.

Found out I didn't like the weight of the titanium. Too light No heft.

Still considering it tho as a 'vacation' watch. Lol

They should ditch Geneve and move Pelagos on the top under Tudor

Possibly you might have a better chance of meaningful dialogue if you don't use the word "horrible" when describing the dial found in other people's watches?

If indeed it is dialogue you're after and not trolling...

I think the 2 liner and it's font is unbalanced. Much prefer the new dial.

I'm not a fan of the new Pelagos dial myself although I like the new movement.
But saying the original is unbalanced? Not seeing it....at all.

Sounds like a lot of people would like to see a 2-line Pelagos, like the 2-line 14060m or the 5513.

Maybe the "Self-Winding Rotor," especially in the crescent shape, is better on the Black Bay, which was always intended to evoke the vintage look.

In my humble opinion the 5 lines of text is only mildly bothersome if looking at photos of the watch. Owned the blue Pelagos for just over a week now and the lines don't bother me at all while wearing the watch. I actually quite enjoy the 5 lines.

I didn't like it at all until I tried one on... now I totally want one. And I already have a Black Bay Black and an old Tudor sub.

I don't know why those five lines below the center stack had to be placed so close to the 6 index.

I've had both the 2 liner and the blue version.

Both fantastic. If I had to choose between the new and old, I'd go new. The new movement is amazing and at that price point, it is this best bang for the buck. The text didn't bother me at all. I just wanted a sea dweller instead.

There would be no harm in deleting "rotor self-winding", if it is deemed necessary then print it somewhere else like on the edge of the caseback for instance.
