Ok, I have to admit it...I LOVE putting together GTG's The day is coming up fast, we have a nice group of TRF family members drivin' and flyin' to El Paso, TEXAS to

A. Have fun
B. Drink wine
C. Smoke cigars
D. Eat great food
E. Talk watches
F. ALL OF THE ABOVE

Thank you to everyone that signed in, I am surprised and grateful that you are taking time off to meet this weekend; I hope I can bring a smile to your face.

To our TRF family: this officially starts the GTG, people attending will contribute to this thread, so be sure to check in frequently!

To me, one more day...a meeting, an interesting lunch and finishing touches.

I'll be hopping in the 997 Friday morning, putting the top down, and heading out at speed.

Would participants mind if I brought a couple of non-Rolexes? Lange and Patek maybe?

I know many guys here are absolutely against moding their watches, but would it be OK if I brought a DLC/PVD TT Sub or Heritage chrono?

I've never attended a GTG before, so I'm reaslly looking forward to some interesting discussions and displays. See ya'll soon.

Day 1:

Cough my 8 am flight without issue, after working 8p to 6a. Still going strong on 36 hours w/o sleep.
Smooth connection in Dallas.
Relieved to have my checked backs in baggage, this doesn't always happen.
Rental Car is horrendous, checked in at local hotel.
Spent some time visiting my Great Aunt, and Great Uncle.
Ate Prime Rib for dinner.
Reviewed, prepared for lectures tomorrow.
