How interchangeable are Rolex movements?
Say I had a 1680 that needed a new movement. Would I be able to take the movement from an old 1603 datejust and make a direct swap?

Movements are not specifically made for a model.
A 1570 is a 1570 and will fit in any other model that used the 1570 movement.
