Speedmaster Finaly here
I finaly received my Speedmaster... And i have to say this watch realy sings to me. Feels great on my wrist and just seems to be a bit more substantual for sum reason.. IDK i guess its kind of hard to explain. But i do love it.

What year and/or movement? These speedy's are great. I wore mine on an olive green nato band today and I couldn't keep my eyes off of it. What's cooler is when you see one in the wild. It's really special.

If you find you miss a date function, the Speedy actually has one (Daytona too). Just use your sweep hand as a pointer date, changing each morning you wear it when you wind it for the day. I find I can read the date this way easier than through my Rolex cyclops.

It's a great watch, iconic, easiest watch to read at a glance, and always good looking on whatever bracelet/strap it's wearing. Enjoy.

Just move the sweep hand one second each day; reset to "one" the first of the month (today is 10/5 so my sweep hand is set on the 5 second mark).

Now that is a great idea.........
Would operating the watch like this cause it a problem ? Not knowing about the insides of a chronograph, I wonder if this would put it under any undue pressure ? Almost like a racing car that is permanently revving at the starting line but is never allowed to race.........?

No problem tracking the date this way. I've been doing it for years.
