Hard to argue with the 104, just a great choice. But don't discount the 88 for travelers, 210 for the suit guy or even the 111/112 for the guy into the history of the brand. In other words, you can't go wrong with any of them.

The PAM177 is great value for money IMHO.

All $5K Panerais represent the best value for money to me, except for say a PAM127 if I had bought it 5 years ago

Right now, you can't go wrong picking up a 232 in the secondary market.
IMO, underpriced & I love mine.
Nice clean dial, gold hands, 47mm, SE

Agree 100%.The 232 is one of my favourites !! Saw it once "in the metal" and beats the 249,IMO.

As you say ,the secondary market offers great value on the 232,at the moment

but don't forget the Pam 005 logo.........just like the 111 except for the solid caseback and the logo on the dial.....a great looking watch for the enthusiast and a "best buy" as well
