I have the Explorer and have been trying on the Sub this past week. What really surprised me was how SMALL the Sub face looks side by side. Both basically the same size case but the bezel on the Sub really reduces the size of the dial.

Certainly the Sub feels thicker, but when just looking straight down on both the Explorer wears comparatively large.

As an aside I found the ND much clearer to read than the Date. I wasn't expecting the cyclops to have such an impact, particularly when the hands are passing through it, makes it not particularly legible. The GMT I found even worse. Maybe I'm just used to how clear and easy to read the Explorer is. If I get another Rolex it will definitely be the ND Sub.

Thanks very much, guys. No doubt that the 36mm Exp. I wears larger due to the smaller bezel. A nice change for me from some 47mm PAM's.
