GMT IIc Price
Okay, I have been able to negotiate $6,300+taxes from my AD for a GMT IIc. I am interested in feedback as to whether you feel this is a good price. I am really hoping to get it for $6,000; is this unreasonable? Thanks!

yes i got mine at $6150 but that was in the caribbean in June (old price list) less VAT etc.
anything under $6500 is a good deal in my opinion- $6300 is one of the best if not the best price you will find from an AD at the moment IMO

Check the "for sale" boards here on TRF.
I've recently seen them offered for as little as $5800. |

I just bought one off TRF Classifieds. Z-series GMT IIc almost BNIB for $6K even. $6300 for a M or V series is pretty durn good from an AD.

US$6,000 is not unreasonable. I was offered one at US$6,000 with no taxes from an AD in TN (Memphis area). Most won't give the discount to you unless you buy in person. They were going to ship it to me out of state to save tax.

dubeagle - that is exactly what they are doing for me - $6,300 no tax cuz they will ship to my work address in VA! So you do think it is reasonable to ask for $6,000, considering the MSRP of $7,000?

Yes. In other posts - 10% discount seems to be what a salesperson can do without consulting a manager. If you push you should be able to get it for US$6,000, but if you really want it, US$6,300 is a pretty good price.

Show up with 60 $100 bills, and say this is all I can spend. See what they say/do.
