Steel Submariner at HKG boutique

The large Rolex boutique in Terminal 1 departures area has a steel no date Sub. Said they just received it.

Decided to pass on it, but if you're passing through HKG, may be worth a look

Price = 58,000 hkd or 7400 USD

Did you ask about the 5% discount?

That's too bad. They used to. Then of course, a year or so back you could get a grey SubC for HK$46k.

Have a good flight

Why would you decide to pass on something like that

That's a rare bird you just let fly away

still kicking myself As Paul would say, I'm a dorkelhead

Upside is I'm en route to US, hoping to find an LVc at an AD in Pennsylvania or Delaware. Will try NYC too but probably a long shot

Refreshing news. Lowest price for a 114060 I've heard in a very long time! And more shocking is that an AD actually has stock.

Maybe SS stocks are trickling back in.

I bought my 114060 from my AD this past Nov. 12 for $6999. +tax I'm happy and glad I didn't wait another day. 7% off

Not to rain on the parade, but that's a pretty normal price, no?

On a few recent visits in the Toronto area I've seen ND Subs in the display cases each time. Price is $8,550 CAD (or about $6,649 USD), and no taxes if exported.

that's standard HK retail price. But these days, SS subs seem hard to find at any HK AD

I don't buy for investment, but see the Date is now at near £2K over retail here so would be tempting...

Good on you for passing.

I don’t think I’m alone in being tempted to buy any SS sports models I encounter at ADs whether they sing loudly to me or not, simply because of the novelty of actually finding than for sale in this time of shortage

With the S/S shortage and trusted sellers pricing above retail, it's very shocking that retail prices are considered bargains right now.

Hopefully Rolex can ease the demand with reasonable supply in the next few months.
