16710 P Serial Number Rolex Logo Dial HELP

Greetings, I am relatively new to the forum but found the feedback from my first post quite helpful.

Last week I did a trade plus cash deal for a new to me, P Serial Number 16710 (no box or papers).

The seller is a licensed Jeweler who has been in the secondary watch market for over 30 years and he has a physical location in the French Quarter of New Orleans. I have known him about ten years and sold him several Rolex as well as he purchases (and pays the best in town) for scrap gold and silver. I trust him, but we can all get fooled...with that said, while looking at my new watch under a strong loupe, I found three items that are giving me mild heart palpitations (please see photos):

1. The under line on the "L" in the ROLEX seems to be wavy, like two bumps before it straightens out.
2. Same for the under line in in the "E" in ROLEX.
3. A small white smudge of font under the "S" in GMT MASTER II

I hope I am not being too nit picky, but this is a reference I have wanted for years and just want to be 110% sure about.

I have always heard that a Rolex dial should be perfect or something is wrong. I have a 1960 5500 Air King and the Rolex logo on it is flawless.

Thanks in advance for the feedback!

Never ever use a loop to look at a rolex as youll see all sorts of imperfections.
Ive had more rolexes than hot dinners and the once i foolishly used a loop nearly gave myself a heart attack.

Watch looks good, shame no papaers but hopefully it was priced accordingly.

Enjoy

Loupes are a major cause of buzz-kill.

If you trust the seller and need a strong loupe to see any imperfections, I wouldn't worry about it. Discuss it with the seller if you still have concerns.

Good luck

Ditto.

Watch looks good (to me). Are there any other concerns you have with the watch?

Thanks for the feedback!
I trust the seller, just had a minor freak out looking at the dial under the loupe and it made me worry that he could have been duped!
No box and papers unfortunately; I thought the price of $6700 was fair and it included a partial trade with 93 big block that just collected dust on the winder.
No other concerns with it, weighs 123.5 grams which I believe is right minus one link. Hands set accordingly with jumping hour.
Really great watch thus far, just wanted make sure it's proper as I'm ready to have this one for the long haul.

Sounds good. If that niggling doubt doesn't go away you can always get it serviced at an RSC and then at that point you will have documentation...plus a freshly serviced watch.

That’s a great watch at a GREAT price!!
I wouldn’t worry about any Rolex imperfections under a Kohls especially of from a trusted seller!

Congratulation!
