Thoughts on this 1993 GMT Pepsi?
I don’t know much about the value of these older Pepsi’s. Could anyone weigh in a bit? Let’s assume everything checks out in terms of service, originals parts, not overly polished, etc.

The price is on the lower end. Nearly every older GMT has gone up in the past year. Really can’t tell much from these shots. I suggest going to take a look at it. You ideally want to see the bevels on the lugs like any of these 5 digit models. It could have been born an espresso and have an aftermarket Pepsi bezel but I have no way of knowing. Even if that is the case you can swap it whenever you want.

Need more n better resolution pics to assess true condition. The price is reasonable without papers. If u can negotiate down n everything checks out, it’s a good deal.
I blame it on autoconnect. |

The bevels between a 6 digit and 5 digits are about the same Now the 4 digits has bevels on some refs. !

That's a late model service insert so I'd be ready to question both service history and ownership history. I'd also meet the buyer at an AD to have them run the serial number. The price is low for a mint 16700 but barn finds do still exist.
Being a 1993, it likely needs a service. Factor this into your overall purchase. I'd also recommend charging your battery before you go. |

So I found out that he purchased the watch from bobs watches in 2016.
He hasn’t warn it much since, so very minimal scratches. He is sending pics to me later. Should I feel safe knowing it came from bobs? I am definitely more concerned on service history |

The fact that he bought it from bob’s doesn’t guarantee anything. Anything can happened between 2016 n 2018.
That said, the watch looks good from outside. The case has been polished at least once imo, but not terrible done. Check out below pic of an unpolished lug. The insert is brand new replacement which depends on ur preference whether u like faded or not. Make sure to open case back to inspect. Otherwise, it’s a really nice watch. I blame it on autoconnect. |
