Warranty cards, manuals, paperwork

I've heard that when purchasing Rolex/Tudor watches through JOMASHOP and other outlets online Rolex/Tudor won't provide warranty cards, manuals, etc. If this is true how can you be sure - other than taking it to an AD the watch you've purchased is authentic and/or a new watch? I'm not sure I'd want to deal with these outlets. I'd appreciate whatever info any have had dealing with these companies.

I believe my question was a valid one unlike any you listed. The forum is to seek help and information not to belittle those with legitimate concerns. How much time you wasted and yet provided no assistance.

It seems there are gray dealers selling new Rolex that don't have the Rolex warranty card. Usually the shop you buy from gives you their warranty. I always wonder where did the watch come from? and I wonder how they would ever get Rolex parts if they are not an AD?

I think if looking for a new current model, I wouldn't buy one of these pieces from a gray dealer. There are plenty of re sellers, David SW , Takuya, and many in the for sale area, who have unworn, un sized pieces, that came from a real US AD and do have the papers, and the warranty card. The warranty card is in the name of the person who originally bought the piece from the AD, but decided for what ever reason to sell it on. You get the real five year Rolex warranty or whats time is left anyways. I would look there first.

Jomashop, Alan Furman, and a few others (Costco) sell true Grey Market watches; watches imported and bypassing the market Distributor. These watches almost never have a valid warranty.

Most of those that you mention here are not "Grey Market", they are either used watch sellers, or re-sellers acting as a middle man. There is a difference.

Thank you . . . I think my main concern and reason not to purchase a high end watch from them is whether or not the watch is used but offered as new.

A true grey market dealer sells a genuine product without the factory warranty.

What most refer to as grey market on this forum are technically just resellers.
