My Feelings are Hurt - 16570

I’m not one to care about others opinions.

My buddy, who’s a watch guy, albeit inexpensive pieces, looked at my wrist over dinner and said, “Is that your TAG?”

More than a week later, it’s still on my mind.

Today, I saw an Aston Martin in highlighter green. It looked like a Suburu BRZ!

haha, if it wasn't he should be...

But Really, You can't fault him because in his world a TAG might be the top-of-the-line.

And also, you must educate him that on every watch the brand is usually written on the dial...

Your insecurity is more telling than his errant comment.

He likely thought it was a Formula One or Aquaracer as at first glance they do look similar. Agreed though that the Monaco is a very nice timepiece.

lol, I own a couple Tags, they are great watches. The older ExpII polar does kind of look like a Tag Link from the early 2000’s

For some a TAG is a luxury piece, especially if you only own Invictas. He was likely paying you a compliment. Not much of a watch guy if he can't tell a Rolex from a TAG, fwiw.

I had a Grand Carrera Caliber 17 RS2 and loved it. Sold it a few years back though as it saw little wrist time after I got my SubC. Only one Tag on my list now which is the Heuer 02T in all black. Always wanted a tourbillon and it both looks great to me and is the only Swiss model with a tourbillon movement that is within my grasp at this point.

Jomashop actually has it listed for under $12k for Black Friday, just unfortunately can’t swing it at the moment as I picked up a Bluesy earlier this month.
