Riveted bracelet

I was wondering if all riveted bracelets are expandable like this one?

I think I'd prefer one that isn't expandable, but I'm not sure if that's an option.

There are not all expandable. If I'm right, the 7206 is not.

Same is the 7205. The 6636 for example is springloaded/ stretch.

Correct. And not all USA versions are expandable either, such as this one on my 5512.

No, they are not.

The expansion bracelets were marketed specifically as that.

I’ve had a couple of Rolex USA C&I bracelets that were spring-loaded

Most are not. The non-expandable 720x are way more common than the expandable 663x versions. Not sure if C-I’s ever were expandable to be honest. I have had one expandable C-I and countless non-expandable. It could have been easily converted as well. Who knows..

Pre 1963 Swiss rivets are unmarked ref wise. Therefore they can easily be whatever you want if/when restored.

Expandable bracelets are nicer imho as they don’t get stretched. You still wear them the same so not really any reason not to have them if you could find one. They are usually pricier though.

I have one 19mm and one 20mm C & I bracelet and both are expandable which is a bummer if you have a lot of hair on your wrist...probably why they aren’t as sought after as a 7206 non expandable... : )
