Incoming...F.P. Journe ARS2

I’ve been a fan of Journe for a few years now, but I finally took the plunge last week. In grade 5 titanium with an aluminum movement, this is the most comfortable (and insanely light at 75 grams) watch I’ve ever owned. It’s 44mm, but with is its lugless design it actually wears smaller than my 41mm Royal Oak. I almost forget it’s on my wrist!

I’m not generally a fan of yellow dials, but it goes really well with the red accents and grayscale pvd coating of the case and bracket. And this years model did away with the rubber bumpers, which is more aesthetically pleasing, imho.

Purchased it a week ago and I can’t take it off! I couldn’t be happier!

You may be right. I tried one on at the boutique a few days before my purchase. When I told them I was coming back to purchase it, it had been sold along with the yellow Centigraphe S. They had just sold out at the LA boutique, as well. Fortunately, there was one left in the US (so I was told, at least) and they were able to overnight it for me. If you’re a fan of Jounrne, but want a sporty, more “jeans & t-shirt” type of timepiece, this is a great choice.

That is a fun watch. Definitely compliments your collection. I am very much into Journe watches. You will not regret it.

Thank you! Definitely a fun piece and adds some more color to what I currently have. But I’m afraid I’m going to end up down the Journe “rabbit hole”!

I think this is a really great watch. The new line, even with the bigger size case, is a great improvement. And that yellow dial really needs to be seen in person, the pictures don’t give a good sense of it.

Thank you! I agree on the dial. The yellow isn’t too bright, but it certainly pops from the gray case and bracelet.

Love it. Left field, and all the better for it. Unfortunately even the 40mm was too large for my wrists, otherwise I’d have one too!

Enjoy it in good health.

Awesome watch, I agree with you on the size, does not wear big at all. Enjoy the watch, perfect for hot weather.

Wow. That watch is 44mm? It does not look it. I really like it. I don’t know much of their SportsLine but is looks pretty good.

Congrats on your purchase.

It certainly wears smaller than it is, but unfortunately not smaller than most 40mm.

Agree! I live in Key West, Florida, so it’s hot here all year!

It really is nothing like what you’d think of a 44mm watch. I don’t have super large size wrists at 7-1/2”/18.5cm, yet it wears surprisingly compact. It’s also thinner height than my Daytona C, so that adds even more to the comfortability.

I haven't tried it on rubber, but on the bracelet it wore larger than its 40mm as the first few links were quite stiff. For instance, it looked larger on my wrist than a 40.5mm Lange Odysseus, or a 40mm Rolex GMT.

I was really disappointed, as it was (and remains) a truly lovely watch.
