Near NOS A Serial 16520 Zenith Daytona | Complete Set
Since collectors can get bent out of shape debating the distinction of NOS I’m going to err on the side of caution and call this near NOS. That said, in looking at the details, you could argue it is NOS. The bracelet remains unsized/unworn (screws show no signs of being sized). There is still sticky residue between links from the stickers that were removed from the bracelet. Case back sticker remains partially foiled (in my experience this level of wear is due to friction with the pillow). To me the only signs of real wear and tear are the results of handling; micro scratches on polished center links (exaggerated given my lighting) and signs of movement and serial numbers being inspected. Clasp is rock solid.
If you’re looking for a blue chip investment you’ll be hard pressed to to find a better bet than a piece like this. These A & P serials are the very last of the Zeniths and are the only ones to come with solid end links (produced for approximately 18 months). This watch comes with all the bits and pieces including serial tag and bezel protector and are becoming very hard to find in this condition/completeness. PRICE: $33,450. Trades welcome.
