Men's oyster perpetual rolex w/date black face
Seller: scorpiofella (120)
Issue - Thought this one looked a bit on the fake side, cyclops date mag is way off unless it is an acrylic crystal making it a 16030 series, opinions? just hard to tell with no information at all. I have here a genuine Rolex Oyster Perpetual diamond dial, black faced watch with the 18k and stainless band recently aquired at a high end estate sale...there is no paperwork or box. Please ask all questions prior to bidding...I welcome all inquiries...Thank you! Shipping will be 20.00 and include delivery confirmation and insurance.... I will ship overseas at a rate of $35.00 and will only accept paypal. http://cgi.ebay.com/MENS-OYSTER-PERP...3%3A2|294%3A50

It does appear to have the acrylic crystal, but even so, the magnification just looks bad. I'm saying it's a fake.

Actually this case would have holes is it was an early 16233/16030 and the strap has the pin access holes too, and looks a bit to shiny on the outer edge of the case back, i though they were always brushed stainless, with the green sticker there thats taken a polish job out of the equation.

If you look at his feedback, he recently sold a Rolex to a known purchaser on Ebay. There is a new Q&A where the seller says the watch was purchased in 2005 but he does not know the model. Buying a watch in 2005, really does not say much either!
I wish the pictures were clearer, I see the concern about the magnification and can not make out the markings on the bracelet. |

Look at the clasp crown where it looks like it is a circle instead of an oval. Terry Newton

Good point Terry, the coronet on the listing does look like a perfect O with the depth at the bottom:
