Serif dial on a 5mio serial range 5513

Dear all,

I know the watch community could be pretty split on the topic, but what is your experience on seeing a 5513 5mio range having a serif dial ?

Did any first owner of a 5513 had this combination ?

Thanks a lot for your inputs.

Best,

MA

There was a thread on this topic where people disagreed vehemently. It got a little nasty, actually IIRC, probably because people who own such watches don't like other people suggesting that they might not be original.

Some people said they owned them and believed they were original, and some people claimed they had purchased them from the first owner. But I don't recall anyone actually coming forward as the original owner.

It would be interesting to know if @paulie_50 is the original owner of his, or if he is just saying that he owns a watch with that combination of serial and dial.

Yes this is a good point ! My dealer asked the founder of 5513 matte dial if he ever saw this combination and his answer was positive for range between 5.3 - 5.4 mio

A number of examples on HQ Milton. Would be a huge coincidence for them all to not be original - would mean a number of watches within a specific serial range having earlier dials swapped in. Absolutely fine for that serial range in my opinion.
