Got the call finally.....
Little back story,
So after the little family owned AD that I had acquired all my watches from lost their status 2-3 years ago mid 2018 and I was on their lists for the normal pieces Sky dweller, sea dweller, Deepsea blue, Daytona......the hunt was on for another AD, had approached the other 3 in my area, one was again a small one, but very friendly, put name down for sea dweller, no history as previously mentioned, 2nd one, really didn't seem to get the vibe they wanted my business, 3rd and biggest, bit of a mixed vibe, and after a few visits did actually say if you're willing to leave a small deposit we can add you to the Deepsea blue, we have 5 on the list so you will be 6, was told, we only see maybe 3 max a year so its going to about 2 years....I was ok with that, Fast forward to Sept last year, I went to Ad 1 as working near them now to put name down for a no date sub, they again said, we've had a lot of interest in that, but if you email us your interest it will be registered, I then said Id been in a few times about the sea dweller and email id received seemed promising, told the sales man my email, he went out back.... and brought 1 out!!, So put down a deposit and brought it the following week. Now 3-4 weeks ago, reached out to the 3rd AD as they stock Omega, and wanted to add the speedy Moonwatch hesalite, not the new version, as this would fit in my collection nicely and added a pic. Got an email to say sorry the last one has now been sold.... grrrr Replied showing a bit of disappointment, that's a shame as trying to put business your way and again unfortunately you can't supply, did mention about the deposit they still had. Got in touch with AD 2, as also they stock Omega....Result.. As in lockdown it was sent out, received 3 weeks ago. NOW here's the bit you've been waiting for..... Got a call yesterday lunch time from a number I didn't recognise ... Hello is that Mr ........ This is ...... from AD 3 ive got some good news for you, we had a delivery yesterday and Ive got a Deepsea Blue for you........... SO..was it a coincidence?? who knows who cares Just over the 2 years they estimated , picking up next weekend... Moral of the story I guess, don't loose hope, 1st time customers can get semi hot ss pieces. |

That’s an encouraging story, indeed. Thank you! And enjoy that DSSD D-blue. One of my very favorite watches. Just an awesome piece.
