Servicing my Milgauss

Hi..I bought a Milgauss 116400V in May 2011. I have never got it serviced. Its not really causing me any issues. Should I get it serviced?
Also, I live in US so if I do send it for servicing, what do you guys recommend - should I ship it to the service centre in Dallas or use an AD locally.
I live in Raleigh,North Carolina and there is Fink's Jewelers here.
Thanks

If you use an AD to send it in, then they are the Rolex customer, not you, and all communication is through them. Usually there isn't an issue, but they tend to just OK anything that Rolex proposes.

Local watchmakers are fine but you should check their qualifications.

Ok. Thanks. Do you feel I need to get it serviced at all?

If it's running properly, I would not have it serviced.

My 18600 has been serviced twice in 37 yrs. Runs perfect.

My buddy's 1990 Sub-no date, has never been serviced and runs perfect.

Until the watch shows some sign of an issue I would just wear it and enjoy it. I have had good success sending my watches to Rolex directly. As stated above you are adding a middleman to the process and I think it takes more time to get the watch to and from the service center. My local AD has to send the watch to another City where all the service work goes out of and then the watch comes back the same way. It feels like it is long enough to get a watch serviced without adding a week or two to the process while an AD get watches together to send for service. Dallas is my choice of RSC. They are very polite and professional.

+1 on not spending in service until there is really a need for it. I had mine serviced through an AD and was sent by them to RSC in Lititz, PA. RSC NY Is the other option close to you if you want to sent it yourself rather than through an AD

I’d leave it be if it’s running fine
