Take it to a watchmaker/jeweler or an authorized dealer (not Ben Bridge)

What's wrong with Ben Bridge? I am neither an employee of Ben Bridge, nor do I know anyone who works for Ben Bridge, but they have a new store near my home, and was considering wandering in there to look at their Rolex offerings....

Don't worry, we were only referring to a thread posted a couple of days ago where a member when he walked in a Ben Bridges a salesperson played some kind of mindgame by letting of that she was not 100% sure his Rolex was real . I myself had a second hand M reg 116520 originally from Ben Bridges( California ) and there was nothing wrong with the watch .

Ben Bridge is a great AD.......They have a network where they can get you the watch you want quickly if it's not in the store you visit, and they have joint partnerships with Rolex for training watchmakers... They are not known for giving steep discounts though...

Don't take everything you read from a few on the Internet as an indictment from the majority, just file it as a small piece in the giant jigsaw puzzle of life...........

Sorry for your loss.

As far as the watch is concerned, why didn't you check before your purchase?

Rolex Daytona

I recieved a Daytona gold in color and didnt know if it was real or not. Is there a way to tell if its fake ill be real dasappointed. But thats my luck i guess.

It has the rubber seal on the winder, The crown etched under the words "swiss made" by the 6. The minute hand goes all the way to the hash marks. It has a sweeping motion of the seconds hand not a tick tick tick motion. A hologram sticker on the back. 3 dots under the crown on the winder too. But heck that don't help i guess.

Im afraid to take it to a watch guy cause if it is a fake i hear they will destroy it. Its a nice looking watch and would hate to find it fake.

Any help would be greatly appriciated. Sorry bout the pick its the best i can do. I dont know macro pic taking works.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. If he wanted you to have it, then this watch is his way of honoring you. I am sure he will miss you as much as you miss him. My own personal beliefs say that you will see him again one day. Maybe not on Earth, but somewhere.

Try and get a close up of the watch and I think many people on here can tell you more about the watch. Maybe someone you know has a nice camera?

That picture is a little small but I'd dare to say it looks weird.

As Leo says, that photo is not good at all.

However, I do not believe at this point that you have an authentic Rolex in your hand......

The bracelet needs to come off. Under the ends, against the case you will find the model number stamped at one end and the serial number at the other end..

I think you're right. The bezel is too thick and the subdials are too small and not close enough together. To OP, I am sorry to hear of your loss.

I looked a little closer on that picture and in my opinion if that's a 16528 then I'm the north end of a southbound mule......

I guess we have not been clear enough.............and I suppose that you are hoping for a different answer..

The model number - 116520 - is for a recent Stainless Steel in-house Daytona.

What you have in your hand is a Fake Yellow Gold early Zenith style replica. ... Sorry
