Update and incoming!

Hey everyone,

I had started this thread here on the 126515LN:

https://www.rolexforums.com/showthre...ghlight=126515

In it, I said that I wasn't sure about the RG for me. When I went in to the AD a few weeks ago to check out the 126515 in the metal, I loved it, but I just wasn't sure it was me. I expressed this to my SA and she said if I waited she might be able to get me what I really wanted. I was skeptical but she gave me a wink and said it should come soon. Sure enough, I got the call on Friday and just picked this up today.

Absolute stunner. The warmth of the WG, the sunburst on the dial... everything about it is absolutely perfect. I have no regrets over not picking up the RG. They are beautiful, and I love looking at them. I just had to be honest with myself, and personally I wouldn't wear it that much.

This came just in time for the holidays, so I guess gift shopping for myself is done... now just for the rest of the family

Cheers all

Really nice, congrats! But please don’t forget to screw down those pushers!

They gave it to me like that out the door! I caught it when I took the pic and they are now securely screwed down.

Thanks a lot for the heads up!!

Just as an fyi, you don’t need to screw the pushers down. That’s an extra protection so you don’t accidentally push them while underwater. I’ve left mine unscrewed 100% of the time, even while washing it, as no different than any other watch that doesn’t have screw down pushers. The added benefit is I actually use my timer almost daily for various things. If screwed down, I’d never bother to use it. It’s part of the fun in owning a chrono. Congrats and enjoy your awesome Daytona!

Even if the pushers remain open they are still watertight, they just can’t be pushed under water.

Very nice pick-up! I'm so glad you got something that you bonded with. I think this is one of the nicest combinations of Daytonas available now. Happy early Xmas gift.

Thanks everyone!

One other thing. The glidelock is huge. Getting the right fit was tricky and without the flexibility to adjust in the summer etc, I might have been hesitant to go with the Oysterflex. So glad they added to the new models.
