Differences between the 116660 a d the 126660?
What are the main differences between these two? I’m aware of the power reserve benefit. Does the bracelet taper more on the 126660?

Correct, bracelet tapers nicer, wider.

Yes, the 126... has the newer movement, longer reserve and the bracelet is 1mm wider at the lug and 1.5mm wider clasp.
So far that's all I can find. There's a nice review of the similarities/differences on a DavidSW video. Not sure if I'm allowed to post a link but should be easy to find. |

I beg to differ. Going from a 20mm bracelet to a 21mm one made a big difference, along with the beefed up clasp. Before the change, it looked like a giant watch on a Submariner bracelet. 22mm would be ideal. I thought the 13 series went to a 22 but it looks like they stuck with a 21.

I too appreciate the later bracelet just a little more from a visual prespective, but on the wrist it didn't do it for me at all. Of course, it's not like i couldn't get used to it in time except i had always liked the feel of the older bracelets anyway. What can i say. I'm a traditionalist and the clasp on the 11 was as beefy as i would ever accept. To be absolutely clear about it. The 11 bracelet is 21.5 mm wide at the end link end where the 12 and 13 bracelets are 22 mm. With an even more pronounced change at the clasps. |

The end links don't sit up quite as high on the 12 visually as they fill up the whole area between the lugs, but they may in fact be fractionally higher when viewed from the side. Yes, the bracelet on the 12 is fractionally wider at the lugs and even moreso at the clasp, so the taper on the 12 is actually less. So it's generally accepted the bracelet on the 12 has a more proportional appearance which is generally a more popular choice. Then there is all that goes with the movement. Win, lose or draw. So it should be noted that newer is not necessarily better |

All of the things stated above - bracelet, movement, longer hands are all correct and I feel all improvements. The bracelet change is noticeable.
I made the change when the 126660 was first introduced in 2018 and it remains a favorite of mine. |

I've never heard that one before. Thanks for the heads up Brian Then again, i don't get around as much as yourself I think i might start using that one myself. I quite like the waterfall end links after seeing them on the Yachtmaster as something just that little bit different out of the house of Rowlex as opposed to the run if the mill SEL ones. Almost giving the appearance of the old hinged end links |

Minor difference in hands if I recall correctly. 12 series has slightly longer hands. I think.

The 126660 is basically an upgrade of the 116660, with a more advanced movement, the Caliber 3235 and the option of a distinctive D-Blue dial.

Might be opening a can of worms, but there’s definitely an argument to be made that the change to the 3235 was not an upgrade at all. Some prefer the 31 movements. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
