It would be something indeed if it were a 42mm standard SM profile but I suspect it will be the larger 44 mm case size per the other moonphase versions.

I hope it's not another MoonSwatch.....please no more MoonSwatches.

I see a meteorite dial, and what seems to be a Mother-of-Pearl moonphase. I don't know what to think.

I'm actually not feeling this....at least not in that short glimpse.

It looks like an attempt at a more accurate representation of both Northern and Southern hemisphere views of the Moon in the one display rather than the usual default option

Eh..if only Omega listens to the community and does a total redesign on SMP300 and Planet Ocean.

On the SMP, I'd like a 40mm case, new tapered bracelet (vs the grandpa looking one right now), replace skeleton hands with the PO broad arrow and integrate the HE valve. And ditch the trendy wave dial..just lacquered dials. And make the date window readable instead of having it sunk into the dial.

I've owned my share of smp (both old and current gen) and PO. I wish they re-release a updated version of the orange bezel PO with black dial.

And while at it, re-release the "Great White" gmt .....Omega has totally ditched the gmt market as they probably know Rolex has taken the throne with gmt2.

The only release I liked last year was the white dial speedy (almost walked out with it in Vegas boutique last year but my rep told me she can get me the gmt2 this year so I'm waiting it out).

I'm getting negative vibes here. The close up of the moonphase suggests something....well....cheap. This is not a high level of finishing or attention to detail. The moons themselves are not mother-of-pearl, but more like a polished granite or basic stone material.

So, this looks like another MoonSwatch, but with a different, low-cost, chronograph movement (kind of like the disposable movement in the Swatch/Blancpain mash-up but with a chronograph module).

I'd be really disappointed as they are flogging that horse mercilessly.

I agree, unfortunately.

The finishing on the N/S looks terrible the it appears there’s a lot of inconsistencies in all the numbers/fonts surrounding the moon phase.

Agree that it could easily end up looking a a little cheap! Time will show

I was thinking the same thing. The Mickey Side of the Moon. No likes

Maybe the macro shot just makes it look worse than it really is.

One black dial, one grey

Meteorite

Steel with ceramic bezels

43 is ok, its just the thickness thats the issue. Someone in the Omega forums mentioned that Omega added the 9914 movement to the instruction manual a few months back, this movement is a manual wind with moonphase at 6, its basically a manual version of the automatic 9904 movement. At the moment no Omega comes with the 9914 movement, so it is very likely the new watch will use it. If so it will still be very thick because the current watches using the 9904 movement are 17mm thick, remove the automatic mechanism, best case scenario 15mm I would guess.
