Question on ceramic bezel
According to some of the readings from the web that Rolex changed their Sub bezel to ceramic in 2008. Is that accurate? What year the 11610 hit the show room?
I have a 2008 16610 with branded rehaut dial but the bezel does not appear to be ceramic. Is there a certain month of production started with the new bezel and anything precede will still have the old bezel? |

Question on ceramic bezel
I’m not sure about the exact month or date ceramic subs entered the market but I do know this.
16610 Subs = aluminum bezel insert 116610 Subs = ceramic bezel insert It’s also very possible Rolex was shipping out both 16610 & 116610 Subs at the same time while they depleted their inventory of the previous 16610 models. |

All 16610 subs had an aluminum insert. The 116610 was introduced in 2010 and had a ceramic insert.
