Help: 14060M vs 124060
In somewhat of a quandary, in that I'm torn between the above two watches. Either way I will be going through my local AD.
I really love the fact that the former is the last of a dying breed, drilled lugs and a spiritual successor of the original, in contrast the 12 series will be brand new, newer movement, superior power reserve, ceramic bezel etc. Both are lovely pieces in their own right, however if it were you, what would you go for? |

I daily wear a 14060m. Have done so for 10 years.
Bought a 124060 last week from the AD. Decided to stick with the 14060. Traded the 124060 for a 126610LV. YMMV |

Did you lose money on this transaction ? Or did your AD give you full credit on your 124060 towards your 126610? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Traded with a trusted seller. IMO did ok on the deal. In total paid over retail but less than going rate for NIB LV's on secondary market. |

I was in the same situation in 2021.
I opted for the 14060m & although I don’t think I made the wrong choice—Fast forward to today, I wish I had chosen the 124060 based on the AR coating alone. Reasons are different for everyone, but for me, watch photography is a lot of where the fun is & it’s really hard to showcase the beauty of the dial(solid blacks) due to the glare. |

I don’t think RSC has them available. They need to be a factory option. They were never originally manufactured for that reference back then thus not available today.

I had my AD put on a new crystal on my 16570 for that reason, it is AR coated and has LEC which wasn’t original to the watch either.

I believe that the 124060 is a superior watch in most ways... but I love the aesthetics of my 14060M and wear it almost every day. It is one of my favorites in my collection.

I think that the charm of the 14060 gives emotion and I see the history of the Sub in this reference. The new beautiful but it doesn't excite me at all

5-digit. I just can’t get over the square and large case shape of anything later.

Both top notch. Difficult choice IMO, the real classic towards glidelock / AR etc.
As a one a d only watch I would go for the 12 series.

Thanks everyone, I'm due to visit my local AD today (there's actually 2 within 5 minutes walk from each other) so hopefully I can get to handle a 5 digit which will definitely help to draw a conclusion.

I sold my 14060m and bought a 124060. Absolutely no regrets as I love the 6 digit and the build quality is top notch - they also have beautiful proportionality back in the 12 model.
Actually, maybe I regret not just keeping both! |

Both are fantastic.
The 6 digit will feel like a tank on the wrist compared to the M in my opinion. That could be a good or bad thing depending on what you like. ![]() Keep us updated ![]() |

And depending on your wrist size, the larger size and huge clasp (does anyone really need 20mm of adjustment?) of the six doesn’t work for everyone.

Agreed. Sometimes I think they could go with a mini glidelock clap as used on the Daytona OF and YM ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Will be sure to post an update.
The only concern I have, which may be unjustified, is the polish of the CPO 5 digit i.e. will the chamfers still be present and lugs still retaining a bit of meat. (I assume that polish is part of the CPO full service process) Will ask today. |

I have a 14060M 2-line and a new Sub date. If I had to keep only one, it would be the 14060M.
