New to Me: 16570

Just received a polar tritium dial. It arrived with a 78360 bracelet/501b end links (W11 clasp). Is this period correct?

TIA!

A little Google search leads me to believe yes.

I have a 1999 16570. Bracelet is stamped 78790, clasp is stamped 78790. Clasp code is X12. 501B end links. These numbers point to 1999, at least from what I can discern. 1998-1999 had a few running changes that may have had some overlap regarding bracelet and dial. I think yours is older (1995-1996, maybe?) than mine, based on your dial and your codes. I have two 5 digit models and I'm happy with both and wouldn't "upgrade" to a 6 digit for either. Especially the Explorer II, where the current 42mm case is a deal killer for the shape of my wrist. I wish you well.

Thanks for that! Yes, I believe mine dates back to ~1995.

I have a couple 6 digit references, but for the Exp II...nothing beats the size and proportions of the 16570 IMO!

I wish they would combine the benefits of the newer reference (orange hand, bracelet) with the size (including of the hands) of this reference!
