Something doesn't seem right
Maybe I'm just being paranoid but something doesn't seem right with the following two items offered by what appears to be a coin dealer (and new ebayer) in South Africa:
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Unwanted-Gif...#ht_2421wt_989 Here he's selling a Rolex Sea-dweller which he claims was an unwanted gift. We all know that a Rolex is NEVER an unwanted gift, so I see that as my first red flag. Secondly, he's either a pro photographer, in addition to being a coin dealer, or those are stock photos stolen from somewhere. http://cgi.ebay.com/BRAND-NEW-ROLEX-...#ht_3247wt_978 Now here he's selling a GMT Master II. Again, the pictures appear to be a mix of real photos and stock photos. With a couple of the photos, I have doubts about the magnification of the cyclops. Something just doesn't seem right. I suppose a coin dealer could come across new Rolex watches. But he only has 96 feedback, many of which was established as a buyer (he mostly purchased coins). And i really dont like those photos. Maybe nothing is wrong, but my spidey sense is tingling. What do you guys think?? |

Let me just clarify that I'm not considering bidding on either of these watches. I'm just wondering if there's enough evidence to report them.

You bet there is Todd, beautifully spotted......
The GMT text is copied from here http://www.watchuwant.com/watches/ro...ess-steel-bnib But the photographs all taken from different listings on scam site ioffer here http://www.ioffer.com/i/mens-rolex-w...kk30-193246352 This scammer is trying to make it difficult for us to track him. One of the 116660 pics from here http://coltonrudyardorlando.blogspot...sea-rolex.html 7/8th picture down. I did not bother looking for the rest as both listings are obvious scams and will be removed....... |

Nice detective work Micheal ! Maybe you should have a word with the places he took the pictures from they are not offering legit stuff either .The GMT2c is fake .. the bezel markings and dial are not correct , nor is the clasp . Such a green case back sticker was never used by Rolex for this model . It simple never existed with Rolex , all GMT2c came with the see trough plastic .

Nice job everyone. They've been reported so hopefully eBay will remove them straight away. Hopefully eBay will ban this seller.
