Having palmed my poor wife off with a Replica Ladies Datejust (hangs head in shame but I did tell her!) a couple of years ago I have finally saved enough to buy a pre owned original. I have purchsed from a long established high street watch specialist so have little concern about authenticity but the watch comes without the usual paperwork including (presumably) instruction book. I guess all adjustments etc are the same as the fake but I would like to see the proper instructions as supplied new for peace of mind.
Q1 Are these available anywhere as a PDF or similar?
Q2 The watch has just been serviced - when will it need servicing again?
Q3 I'd like her to wear the watch daily (why hide it away) but she has horses so although waterproof and tough glass I guess the steel/gold bracelet is prone to scratching or are they quite robust?

1. Available on Ebay.
2. 5-7 years.
3. It depends how rough your wife is with the watch. My wife has a 1993 midsize TT datejust and the bracelet is OK.

Welcome to the forum ,
SS models are indestructible , TT may scratch a little when one falls off a horse on a regular basis ; If not it will be alright .
Just get rid of the fake and snappy .. not appreciated around here

These watches can really take a beating. My father wore his tt t-bird daily after he bought it in the 50's, and I'm wearing it now. Still looks great with an occasional polishing. If she likes the watch, she ought to consider wearing all the time.

Rolex watches are VERY tough.
I fit kitchens and bathrooms and have worn mine to work on many occasions. No more scratches than if i was out for a drink.
