Just look at the new subs and change the colors and metals.

1. Super case
2. ceramic bezel 3. maxi dial 4. the bracelet will be like that of the DSSD ( no PLC like the GMT ) |

Like TurboWatch said, the new Sub likely won't have PCL's. And the 14060 is not slated for the update as of right now.

I agree, it will be exactly like the TT Blue/Black that came out this year except all SS.
I doubt very much that the center links will be polished. I was at my AD a couple of days ago and compared a new TT-Blue Sub with the old TT Blue Sub next to each other. Upon first glance, the only thing you'll notice that's different from the two is the maxi-dial with bigger lumes and hands. Other than that, they both look very similar to each other. To tell you the truth, I'd find it very hard to justify spending the extra $2000 for the newer version and one would be just as well served with the older version than the newer. I sold my SD4000 to buy the new Deepsea. Had Rolex instead released an updated SD4000 with cerichrome bezel and glidelock clasp and kept everything else the same, I'd more than likely have kept my old SD4000. |

The white gold blue Submariner, for one. Like the current GMT-Master IIc, the new SS Sub will have a ceramic bezel, supercase and maxi dial. Whether the bracelet has polished center links or not remains to be seen. I'm not sure about the movement.

No it hasn't been announced yet, but look at there track record, just like clockwork. First the gold version then the following year a T/T (Rolesor) then a stainless model.
What would make Rolex S.A not bring out a 116610 Sub? |

Because Rolex stated the SS would come out in 2010 to James Dowling at his meeting with them at Basel 2009?
Seems like decent evidence. See James's report in the Basel section on that other watch forum. |

You're welcome, Joe. Of course, there is a price difference of about $2K between the 2 models, the newer one being a bit more expensive.

Supercase are the thicker lugs and maxi dial are the dials with larger markers and hands.

My guess is physically it will be identical to the GMT II C. I just hope the center links are not polished but I think they will be.
The anticipation for Basel 2010.................... |

I would prefer they leave the SS as is and not release a new version if they intend to foul it up with PCL.
