I am thinking of getting my Sub serviced and am considering taking it to an independent. Only concern is the polishing skills.

Can anyone recommend a watchmaker around the Bay Area?

Any help would be appreciated.

That's an easy choice go see Giovanni at the San-Francisco RSC and he will take care of it for you and give you a RSC warranty that is good at any RSC in the world.

I don't know about this holiday season, but normally 3-4 weeks. He's a great guy.

Alternatively, you can talk to Tim at Jackson Square in Redwood City.

Go to the RSC at Shreve. They are the best. Been there several times with mine. They are fantastic.

I suggest calling both and asking tomorrow - this is probably the worst time of year to service watches if you're in a hurry.

Don't know how fast he can get it done being it's the holidays right now, but its worth the wait. By the why this is what you you want to get when you have your watch serviced correctly.

Looks like Giovanni's pretty popular in our neck of the woods. It's really quite a bonus to have official documentation with your service.

I guess I should either put off servicing until mid-January, or just bite the bullet and wait.

I think Giovanni & Co have been closed since 12/18 for the holidays. Not sure when they re-open, but perhaps they have a message on their answering machine.

He's a nice guy. Sized both my Rolexes for me...have not spent any $$$ there yet, but I will at some point soon.
