Original PAM gator or aftermarket

Does any one know if the PAM original gator straps are worth the extra $ in comparison to after market gators?

I am thinking that the quality/pattern you would get from the originals would be better than shopping online for an aftermarket who may not have as good quality control.

With the exception of the JV strap, I think that you're better off going with aftermarket and saving the dollars. If you really want an out of this world gator for a comparable price as OEM (though much more interesting), try the Parisian strapmakers at ABP.

I think they are. I usually believe that brand accessories do not match (in quality) thier main product but the Panerai gator straps are completely top quality.

The Heroic 18 straps are awesome. I have one and I consider it better quality than the PAM. (but it's not croc). :/

Funny, I've been considering this as well. I've got quite a few (10) aftermarket straps and I love most of them except they are a little thick for my taste some days. That being said I'm going to try the Panatime gators or Dons straps and see what happens.

thewatchboys.com gators are one of the best value ones from the research I have done

quality wise nothing beats OEM and ABP....however OEMs can be on the thin side

Indeed thewatchboys seems to have the lowest price crocs around.

Any comments on their quality? And how long do they take to break-in?

Panerai OEM straps are VERY well made. You can't go wrong.
