Hi Guys,

WHICH NEWER WATCH BRANDS IMPRESS YOU??????

My favourite at the moment is BREMONT....an English company..(2 brothers) which only launched in 2007 but seem to have got it right from the get-go.Their initial selection were inspired by vintage aircraft.They are thoughtfully and carefully made watches.

They have a factory in Swizerland but have a very English design theme,which i find appealing and is a little different.I still do not see much chat about the brand,but i think its one to watch.

Of the newer watch makers Bremont make nice watches and Seiko's Spring Drive seem to be gathering momentum.

I like the new Seiko's too.

The Spring Drive technology is really amazing! A great value, worth every penny.

Check out Lum-Tec, if you have not done so, as they have a great product and fantastic customer service. They are based in Ohio and family owned.

I only have one Lum-Tec now, a Combat B3 which came with black and olive NATO straps, but looks great on leather or a watchadoo bracelet. No doubt about it, another L-T model is on the horizon. Cheers, Bill P.

Dornbluth are a small company making fantastic individual watches to order and this is on my grail list...

Wow!!!!!!!..... i never new about this brand...the quality looks EXCEPTIONAL.....GREAT PIC.

Small independant watch co's are fascinating....they are like restaurants.......in that; the small co's need to be exceptionally innovative to survive and not be destroyed by the global players.

My dream for a couple of years now is to one day develop a small, exclusive watch company.

I also like DIEVASThey make dive watches with a refreshingly clean,and modern look.They use the latest technologies and you wonder how they are able to include such quality materials at such a great price.They are a small company and so exclusivity is also assured.

Interesting as there are some brands there i have never heard of and i will check them out, the Lum-tec look nice and if memory servrs me correct the case is similar to a Chrono-Suisse. the Dornbluth looks stunning because they are quite plain,very nice though. Good thread this.

Fortis, Glycine, Kobald, Oris, Tutima are new, or smaller watch companies. They make great watches. Used watches are the best way to go on these. I had a Kobald limited edition model.. The onl didlie was the watch lugs ere too long,
