Icon10 Goofiest dang thing... Kind of

In one of my latest 'package' purchases, I got this interesting watch - JJ will have a field day with this one, as it is pretty weird. Alain Silberstein is the brand http://www.a-silberstein.fr/us/accueil.htm, the model is called 'SMILEDAY'. Why you ask? Because, in addition to the date function, it has a day of the week aperture, but not displayed in the way we're all used to. Man, I can feel the heat of the WIS flamethrowers already No worries, it is at least an automatic Swiss movement (ETA based)

So, to this DAY display - here you see it set for Saturday

Here's Sunday, the poor sucker doesn't know what is right around the corner

and then Monday inevitably hits

to shorten the thread, I will skip a couple days, hope that's OK, but here's Wednesday

Friday - aaaah, felling better already!

I know, I know, it is gimmicky, but can't take away the unique factor, just sayin'.

Ok, bring on the heat!

Well - it is a bit large, plus for her the face would stay the same - what do kids have to worry about on Monday that they didn't on Sunday?

What I fail to understand is how major watch manufacturers come up with such "gimmicky" looking Walmart kinda dials on their watches.

Also makes you wonder what kinda price one would be looking at on that comical monstrosity!!
