What's the weather typically like in London & Paris in April ?
Can someone shed some light ? Wife and I are planning a short vacation in April there.

Drizzle, 50-55 degrees. I was there in April and got by with a fleece jacket and a waterproof windbreaker.

Light showers. May/June are the best months for Paris/London.

lived in London for my entire life...(35 years) apart from the past 8 years here in Australia...I loved April....spring....coming out of winter....weather can be hard to predict...so go with sweaters and jackets...may be that you're in a t shirt and jeans some days. Great time to be there......can you tell I miss it! Just not the winter!!!

June is going to be warmer. April can be nice, but will be cooler in the evenings.

Unpredictable in April...... & only slightly less unpredictable in June!!
Either way you're only going to need 'fleece-type-jackets' at worst but if you're planning on being 'out & about' a lot I'd advise waiting 'til June to be honest. Handiest jacket I've ever had for day-trips (in the UK & Europe) my Timberland 'Three-In-One" thing..... I'm sure you'll know what I mean & there's hundreds to chosse from but I've got the older version of onea these...... http://www.timberlandonline.co.uk/on...arch&color=968

Wind the clock back to 1976 - my wife and I were holidaying in London first week of April.
I remember we had gone to see the changing of the guard at the Buckingham Palace and it was quite cold that day. By the same token, certain days weren't too bad. We were there for 12 days and what a wonderful time we had. JJ

I was there in August as well, and could have used a light jacket after sundown.
Of course, if you ride the central line, just take a bathing suit and a sponge. |
