My journey begins
Hey everyone - some of you may have recalled but about six months ago I was considering to sell my watch (2 1/2 year old YG DD (dia bezel, dia dial and MOP dial)). Well I kept going back and forth, and thought I was going to keep it. Now, I seriously want to use the proceeds to invest in a condo. This Friday, I'm going to bring it to jewelry shop to get two prices - a consignment price and an "outright" buy price. Anyone care to guess how much I will be offered? I'll tell you guys/gals on Friday. BTW, I have box/papers/only owner.
My only problem is that if i sell, in a couple of years I know that I will want another DD and it'll seem as if I flushed money down the toilet. My reasoning (hopefully not flawed is that hopefully the condo/coop will appreciate more then the loss I will take on the watch. |

IMHO, I think you will be lucky to get $10K from them, they have to be able to make their margins too! Try to sell it here.

I concur, selling to a jewelry store is not the best option for highest net gain. Give it a shot here first, if that doesn't work, then go to the store...
