Rolex calendar
Is their a reason why the Rolex calendar is a hot item? The ones on Ebay go for a premium.
The 1970 calendar I want goes for $100.00-$200.00 USD. The condition of the card is what makes it worth more or less. The other thing I worry about is it being fake, I have been reading up on Rolex paper items, and they are copied the most. Any idea's from the TRF family? |

Can't help you with that David, but I'm working on putting together a watch calendar for myself.

In order to get the price reasonable I had to print 100 calendars. Too bad because I had a beautiful layout with a different Rolex for each month. |

What is the problem Leo ? Go ahead print 100 calendars . You give away 99 to your friends on TRF and you keep one for yourself at a reasonable price . Can you really ask for more ?

If you are asking, in the corrected spelling:
Why would you want to buy an old calendar? Do you own a Rolex? If so, do you collect Rolex items, like Rolex pens, lighters, books, Rolex Crown logo, hang tags, display's? If not, then you asked the wrong question in the first place. |

First I am not a dude, my name is David, or Safe as other people call me. Second you need to write correctly to be able to communicate.
Writing is the key to communication and it convays someone's education level. Try this: I own more than one Rolex, does that answer your question? And my response would be no, you have only answered half of the question, read the question again and use proper English before writing to me again. Thank You, and good night. |

So what education you have sir? You sound awfully arrogant...I dont give a $hit.
Good luck with your calender. This is a watch forum not a writing forum. You need to learn what is the purpose of the fourm before making unintelligent and stupid comments. what the heck is the big deal between "U" and "YOU" Quote:

Hmmm... it smells like Rolexotica in here?!
I can't get into one of "these" threads tonight, it's a Sunday and I need all the sleep I can get. I am sure this thread will be locked by the time I check on it in the Morning. Good night all. -Pete

I was gone this weekend any more pop up? And did Rolexotica finally admit to being a troll? I've been gone from Saturday morning to now. |

I only brought it up because Homie, Rolexotica and this guy have similar posting style and candence. Rolexotica never admited anything but not only was his thread locked, it just vanished. I like the back and forth and a healthy debate on here but the tolls are just annoying! Hopefully it will be back to normal pretty soon. -Pete

My guess is simply their scarcity. Perhaps such small paper or cardboard items were never really saved in any numbers such as other items less likely to be discarded such as the green wallets, tags, anchors, etc. I've also noticed recently even the later model calendars going for more than I would've thought they were worth on Ebay and elsewhere.

David, I think you can find these on the "bay" from good sellers with almost perfect feedback. I've bought several things for my collection. You just have to find the right price because, you're right, they get expensive. Good luck.

Thanks everyone for your input, good and bad, I will work on my spelling in the future, I do use spell check.
I do have a Rolex collection of many items, and it is still growing. My main thought as of right now is my cat Sammie who has been in the emergency room of my vet hospital for twelve hours and I have had little sleep. |
