Interesting sky & moon
With the unusual weather we've been having, some of the afternoon light has been great, even though the days are rather unremarkable and grey. Here's one I snapped off the balcony.
And just because I can.... the moon x2 Yes I do need a tripod. Balancing the camera on a sideways inverted pelican case with no remote release doesn't work too well... I'll have some more interesting ones uploaded tomorrow. Totally unrelated and a lot nicer. Think 'model'

That first shot almost looks like a Renoir, Otis. Very nice.

Thanks guys!
Oh, and JJ.... I'm not sure where all the sheep went. It seems that something large, round and shiny that looks a bit like a toothy moon scared them off

Nice pictures Otis but don't let JJ see too much of them. You know how the full moon makes his body hair grow.

So I guess it's a perpetual full moon over in NZ? Or is that just the light shining off something bald

Thanks!
Just a borrowed Nikon D70, I think they were taken with a 100-300-lens or thereabouts. I must say, after using a 50m prime extensively a while ago, everything else just looks too soft.

Nice job Otis...the moon is a tricky subject but very satisfying when you nail it. I have a 200-400 + 1.7TC that I use for moon shots but I'm really itching to get a nice telescope next...

Great shot Charles, wonderful!
Love the colour on yours Amanda, and the way she's framed through the heads! Peaches hey... that's going to be an interesting show You'll have to give us a report. Haven't heard much of her new album, any good? There's an older song, a duet with her & Iggy Pop that's a great track

I dunno Otis, I have listened to her new album and all the way through it I am going 'did she just say what i thought she said'??? the language would curl your hair I tell ya!!! I must be getting old or something, its a bit too crass for my liking. I am going along with a friend who roped me into it... says that the last show was just amazing! |
