What would you do if your rolex is threatened?

How far would you go if someone tries to mug your rolex?

Are you serious? You either have priority issues, or you think the lot of us do, and by some of the posts, you are probably right!

What if it's sunny?

Seriously folks, it's just a damn watch!

Promoting countermeasures (guns, or rib ticklers) is just plain stupid, even from a LEO!

I do like the run like hell response!

It's a watch... hand it over, kick the piece of crap in the nuts if I can, if not - lick my wounds and call the insurance company - then the AD!

There aren't many material things worth a knife in the guts or a gun to the head for.

Same same here, not worth losing your life over a watch.

Not much you can do in that situation Robert. I would've done the same.
There would be the odd scenario where i would fight but i have to weigh it up according to how many of them & what weapons they had.

The other thing is, you'd probably damage the movement if you hit someone with the Rolex on your wrist...

ABSOLUTELY

I think it is in modern day culture to say "you better not" or "whup his ass" or "get my massive pistol" - but ultimately, you're as likely to end up dead or in hospital as the offender is. Would you risk your life if someone tried to steal your TV at gunpoint? You would just claim on the insurance (I would hope!)

Difference in cultures I guess in some cases in the US vs the UK (where guns arent legalised)

I'm 61 now, couldn't imagine not making it past 71 and not seeing the grand kids growing up for something as insignificant in the big scheme of things as a wrist watch.

Chance?

If there's a knife involved I'd try to kick some ass, when there's a gun I'll just give it up.

Guns outrun fist, nobody can outsmart a bullit. Even with a vest it'll take you down.

As I hand it over... I would say "Do you really think it is real? wow I at least fooled someone. go ahead take the watch, but I don't think the pawn shop will give you more than ten bucks for it"
---------
If someone pulled a gun or knife on me. I would do the international sign for robbery. Raise both my hand high in the sky-- hoping someone sees it and calls for help.

Its hard to say what one would do in a given situation until it actually happens to you, I carry a weapon and would not hesitate to use it, but if it came down to losing a watch or my life I would gladly give up my watch...

Which kind of insurance insures your watch? and is there drastic increase in premium if you make a claim?

Just hand it over and smile, because now you can call your AD and buy another one. Maybe the same watch...maybe not.

Jewllery Insurance or household insurance.

If they raise the quote on renewl, just change to another firm.

I was armed 24/7 back in the States. Glock 26 or a .32 Keltec.

I love living in Japan where I don't have to worry about being robbed at gunpoint.
